Is there such a thing as a "Holy Grail" in forex trading?

One phrase that keeps coming up in other forums and private discussions among savvy traders is "holy grail". Well I am just a budding trader and the only Holy Grail I know of was the subject matter in the Da Vinci Code.

Can the experienced members here enlighten us on what the Holy Grail is in FX trading and whether such a thing does exist...?

Yes, there is such thing as Holy grail in forex trading. Actually it is a forex system. Since I bought this system, I have been trading like i got God beside me telling when to buy, close and sell. It was good for me.

While we are waiting for the link from the previous replies, I just want to share my thoughts on the matter.

The Holy Grail as used in forex means an elusive system that is seen to be a perfect trading system. That is where it makes a major departure from the true Holy Grail because there is only 1 of that. In forex, a trading system is a highly personal choice and it is a certainty that there is no one SINGLE Holy Grail in forex.

In my view, trading forex is less miracles and more of religiously studying the market and indicators, technical or fundamental and making a prediction.

Well that's my 1 pip of information, perhaps the other members can share their views on Holy Grails as well?

Theoretically, it could be all three and more. In other words, it is whatever would work for you as a Holy Grail so to speak.

It really boils down to what you expect from forex trading and what you are willing to do. For some they may dream of a system that you just set and forget, leave the system trading automatically while reaping the benefits. Others would want to play a more proactive role, doing the analysis within a systems parameters and trading accordingly.

Whatever their views and expectations, the fact is that the reason why it is a Holy Grail is because of its elusiveness and unlike the real Holy Grail, what appears to be THE SYSTEM now, could very well be passe' a few days, weeks or months down the road.

Just my 10 yen worth
